The Nightmare Before Christmas

The people who love fairytales will never grow old. After watching the Corpse Bride, I have decided to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. I think the two movies are belong to the same pattern. They all describe the scared and heinous roles, corpse and skeleton. Although in The Nightmare Before Christmas, the skeleton Jack already has his lover, I still think Corpse Bride and Jack are a couple. Why? Because I think they two are matched each other.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a classic gothic fairytale movie. It is full of corpse, darkness, tombs and the citizens of like make fun and they also like to scare other people. Moreover, they like to play the disgusting dead rats. Isn’t it rare that a fairytale happened in such an environment?

The main role Jack will pursue his happiness without caring about the results when he feels bored and confused. And sometimes he is also a selfish man. He will say, “Why should they have all the fun, it should belong to everyone. Not everyone, in fact, but me.” Such a thought also makes me feel real and cute. And sometimes Jack is also confident and he doesn’t care about the success and failure. When his Christmas dream is destroyed, he is also down for a while. But after the time, he will cheer up again. I like this:

“Well, what the heck, I went and did my best.
And for a moment, why, I even touched the sky
And at least I left some stories they can tell, I did”
